Not sure about the first 2 problems, but in regards to 3: Then it began to make one of these two problems: If you have a sound system, you can just output the sound from the computer directly to that and let the DVI run video only. If you have a DVI-I connector, it cannot. The card is also a low-end GPU, so you wouldn’t expect bells and whistles. If not, get a card that does. I have this configuration at the moment: I’m not overclocking it or anything else.
Try uninstalling then reinstalling the drivers. Yeah, HDMI port is probably f’ed up. It’s a small hassle, but it’s the way I do it at home primarily to enable the feature where the sound disappears if I plug in my headphones to my computer.
Each time that check box goes on and off, the monitor flickers.

Ok, I bought another video card: Actually DVI-I does support audio. Each time I start the TV, the monitor flickers between the normal image and black. It’s not a cable problem.
What can I do to make this setup work? Always good to try the simple stuff first.

Exact capabilities vary by video card specifications. Also, see if you get a signal to the TV without your monitor connected.
Problem with Geforce 9500GT HDMI connection
No matter what resolution I input, after clicking Apply it get’s back to “PC: Even with all the disabled and hidden devices showing, it doesn’t show the Sony TV for audio output. I removed the monitor and restarted the computer only with the HDMI plugged in. Restart the computer with only the HDMI monitor in place. Sign up using Facebook.
Any other ideas guys? It does this like times, then it works fine.
I’ll reinstall the drivers and come back with the feedback. I don’t know why I didn’t realize DVI doesn’t carry audio sooner.
